Thanksgiving 2007

Kate and I were walking down Newbury Street and had this beautiful view.

Below is a sight RARELY seen. Katelyn is holding one of our animals AND enjoying it!!!! Oddly enough it's the one animal that is almost devoid of a personality. Interesting. Below on the right are Burt and Kate sitting at our dining room table after breakfast...too much technology???

Thanksgiving visit with Nana included some pretty heavy checker matches.

Nana quotes of the day..
"The best times of your life are when you have a wiry dog."
Then while playing checkers with Burt..(after her game with me).."It's nice to play with someone who has a brain." Thanks Mom.

Nana's new digs.. part two..

Nana had her hair "done" by the on site beauty shop and as you can see, it was a fruitful endeavor. Today was almost 60 degrees and beautiful in her courtyard. Ollie was a great therapy dog today. Lots of people hugged him and reminisced about former dogs and shared stories...some brought tears to me. It goes to show how important animals are in our health and well being.

Nana's New Digs

Nana has moved into a pretty cool rehab center. She does not share the facility with Brittany Spears although it is reported that yesterday they shared a similar drug withdrawal issue. This place has a live in dog and two cats and you can bring in pets for visits. There is also a huge fish tank and there is a bird living there. The outside garden has tons of squirrels , chipmunks and birds at the feeders. Oh yes, they have a good gym and good therapists to help her gain her skills back and they serve really good food apparently. (except the oatmeal) "eckk"
If she cooperates and they don't boot her out...it should be great!
