End of the year/retirement staff party~

As we celebrated the school year ending, and the departure of a favorite staff member.."random man" crashed our photo. Are you able to see the expression on the face of the person to his right?
"Random man" migrates. Then he offered his business card and offered to buy us a drink if we joined him in the bar. Hmm....did we appear desperate?

Exciting Baby Update!

Today I was invited to go along to the Dr.'s office with Ryan and Melissa, and I got to hear my Grandchild's heartbeat!

Here is Melissa being told that it is just plain MEAN to withhold the gender of the child from the Grandmother .

Mom/Nana turns 87!

Mom and I had shrimp tempura at her place to celebrate her 87th birthday !

"Apple Blossom" Fete

Last night we all piled into one car and went to the annual apple blossom celebration and fireworks. As part of a long standing family tradition passed along from the maternal side...we beat out many a small child to win our stuffed animals. Oh...and Melissa really wasn't as good at the squirt gun competition as she apparently thought. Westford really doesn't get much more exciting than this.

Ryan's 6'5 frame got the shotgun seat. He almost appears smug about it doesn't he? As his poor expectant wife rides in the back with his mother and( soon to be ) step sister.

Katelyn's Master Of Fine Arts Show

We all flew out to Madison WI for Katelyn's Masters exhibition. We got a preview before it opened to the public. Kate's new work is absolutely phenomenal!

Baxter

Baxter is home and feeling better. For those of you that have never had the pleasure of giving a cat giant pills twice a day...there is no other experience quite like it. It is a two ( or more) person job. Make sure you double click on this photo to get the best view of him. :=)

* Because of recent ..uh..flak from certain individuals, I am going to make a concerted effort to make sure there is an animal featured with every entry.

Boston Marathon 08

We met up with Chris, Quinn, Robert, Paul, Joan and Michelle at heartbreak hill in Newton to watch the marathon. As it was Marissa's first time...I asked her what she thought and she replied.. "It was really fun for the first hour or two ..even three hours". We totally missed Lance Armstrong. He ran right by us and we didn't see him. The whole event was totally inspiring as we moseyed back to our car to go out to lunch.

Another Family Wedding!!

My brother Gerry's son, Ian, married his long time love, Ewa (pronounced Eva) on February 29th! This is a great kid with TONS of personality and an infectious smile. We wish both of them the best of luck and a happy future!!!!
*Interesting...I was watching some old home movies recently and did note that Ian sounded very much like Kermit the frog when he was little.=)Hmm.. Hopefully, Ewa is good with that.

Portrait Of A Hybrid

An artist that we met at Nana's place in Weston, fell in love with Ollie...mainly because he hugged her, and offered to paint him. We love it! We are thinking of making the painting a new baby gift for someone special, for their nursery. We want that baby to be exposed to beauty from the very start.

More amazingly adorable sleeping animals-)

Some people are not blessed with animals that continually interact with each other in an irresistibly adorable manner. I've heard that Tyngsboro is full of those people. Sad, really.
